1Privacy at a glance

This site (travel.luminesca.net) is an editorial travel-guide site. We collect as little data as we can. Specifically: anonymous traffic analytics via Google AdSense and Google Analytics (GA4), and no personal data unless you choose to email us.

2What we collect

3What we don't collect

No names, no email addresses, no profiles, no behavioural advertising data, no location tracking, no fingerprinting, no remarketing, no conversion tracking, no A/B testing. We do not collect personal data beyond the aggregated analytics described above. You can opt out of personalized AdSense ads via Google Ad Settings and of Google Analytics via the opt-out page.

4Cookies

AdSense uses cookies to decide which ads to show and to prevent fraud. The cookies expire within 30 days. Disabling cookies in your browser will not break the site; it will only affect ad personalisation (you'll see generic ads instead of targeted ones).

5Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. The content is for adult travel planning.

6Your rights (GDPR / UK GDPR / CCPA)

If you're in the EU, UK, or California, you have the right to access, correct, and delete any personal data we hold. Since we hold effectively none, there's nothing to action. If you have questions, contact us via the address on the Luminesca main site.

7Changes to this policy

If we update this notice, we'll change the "last updated" date below. Significant changes will be reflected in the site footer for at least 30 days.

All destination and guide photography on this site is sourced from free-license stock photography providers (primarily Pexels and Unsplash) and used in accordance with their respective licenses. Where a photograph is used as a decorative hero image, it is intended to evoke the general atmosphere of a destination rather than to depict a specific named location. No image is sold or resold, and each remains the property of its original photographer.

9Advertising on this site

This site displays ads through Google AdSense, which is how the guides stay free to read. AdSense may set its own cookies to serve and measure advertising, including personalised ads where permitted by your settings; you can turn ad personalisation off in your Google Ad Settings, and the ads you see will simply become less relevant rather than more frequent. We do not control which cookies Google sets, and Google's own privacy policy governs that data. We do not run any other ad networks, affiliate trackers or remarketing pixels.

10External links

Guides routinely link out to official sources — national park ticketing, rail operators, visa pages and weather services — because those are the facts you need at booking time. Once you follow a link off this site, that destination's own privacy policy applies; we have no visibility into and no responsibility for how external sites handle your data.

11Questions about this policy

If anything here is unclear or you believe we have handled data incorrectly, email the editorial address on the contact page with "Privacy" in the subject line. We treat policy questions the same way as factual corrections: read, verify, answer within 2–3 business days.
