Pick your days, budget, and interests. We'll match you with the destinations from our guides, split the days into a real route, and show you what each leg costs and when to go.
This planner is not a generic algorithm — it is built from the 30 destination guides we actually wrote. Every suggested route links back to the full guide, so the daily breakdown, prices and season advice you see here come from the same source as the guide itself. Nothing is fetched from a third-party API at runtime: the matching runs entirely in your browser.
| Tier | Destinations it unlocks |
|---|---|
| $ · backpacker, roughly €35–60 a day | 13 of the 30 destinations |
| $$ · mid-range, roughly €60–150 a day | 25 of the 30 destinations |
| $$$ · comfort, roughly €150+ a day | 9 of the 30 destinations, and it is the only tier that opens Iceland North Circle, Norway Fjords, New Zealand South Island, Patagonia: Torres del Paine |
Destinations are tagged with the interests they genuinely serve. Across the 30 guides the tags break down as: nature (16), culture (23), history (11), food (23), beach (9), hiking (16), city (13), adventure (17), relax (5). The planner shows eight of these as chips; the rest still participate in matching when you leave the chips empty.
If a route looks wrong for you, the guide behind it is the thing to argue with — each one lists its own daily costs, seasons and pacing notes, and that is where corrections belong.
It is free and there is no account. The planner is a single front-end page: your days, budget and interests are used in the browser to build the route and are never sent anywhere.
Thirty, one for each destination guide on this site. The planner mirrors those guides one-to-one, so any route it suggests can be traced straight back to a full guide with its own daily costs and season notes.
Matching runs on three inputs only: the budget tier, the interest tags, and whether the destination’s minimum day count fits your trip length. A destination with a lower minimum can appear for a short trip even if it is not the obvious headline choice for your interests.
No. They are 2026 planning midpoints taken from the linked guide, rounded on purpose. Flights, insurance and visas are always excluded, and the totals move with season and exchange rates, so treat them as a starting figure to plan against rather than a quote.
Nothing is saved. There is no cookie, no localStorage entry and no server call for the planner itself, so reloading the page returns it to the default state.
