Choose attractions by base

Avoid the one-ticket assumption
Giza’s official listing separates area entry from selected interiors. GEM’s booking page lists museum coverage including Khufu’s Boats Museum. These are different visits; the old plateau-side Solar Boat Museum add-on has been removed from this shortlist.
For Valley of the Kings, use the site listing as a starting point, then ask which tombs are open for the booked day and which require another ticket. Choose the visit before buying a bundle: a ticket you will not use is not a saving.
Questions for a guided visit
- Which exact sites and interiors are included?
- Is the guide private or shared, and in which language?
- Where are pickup and drop-off? Does the price include the necessary boat?
- What happens if the site closes or an activity is cancelled?
- Does a changed finish time affect another separately booked service?
For balloon flights and boat excursions, ask about cancellation and refund terms. The old numerical balloon-cancellation rate was unsupported. Do not treat an activity as guaranteed because it appears in a guide.
Choose fewer visits when needed
Group visits by base and bank of the river. Leave time for security, queues and breaks; avoid attaching a distant excursion to an unconfirmed transfer. Heat, accessibility requirements and opening calendars can change what is realistic for your group.
